What a rollercoaster this Candidates Tournament has been for the Chess legend Vladimir Kramnik; and for Aronian too.

Both ran out - before even getting to mid-tournament - of opportunities to challenge Magnus for the title later this at the World Championship Match 2018, London, UK ( 9-Nov-201 / 28-Nov-2018) as they both are at the bottom of the barrel.

Maybe that fact may explain why they starred a fasninating game on Round 10 that so far, at least to me, is a strong candidate for Game of the Year.

The game features all the ingredients for delicious drama over the board: the most boring and harmless Opening stage (Giuoco Pianissimo) that slowly grew up in intensity as it were one of the greatets Beethoven's pieces.

See for yourself and enjoy!
